Description
Streetscape is a contemporary Blackwork design and is based on our urban lifestyle. Each house sampler stitch is designed to give the evenness of the balance of any street we live on. The design features satin stitch, chain and back-stitich with a feature of colonial knots and cross-stitch. A good next challenge for experienced cross-stitcher! All outlines are charted and there are 10 different Blackwork sampler patterns which are detailed in the instructions.

Kit Contains: detailed instructions and A3 chart for design (including detailed fill designs), 32 ct Belfast col. Raw , DMC stranded cotton col. 400 , needle (no. 24), thread for lamp feature
Finished design size is 38 x 11cm (15 x 4.5 inches)
Blackwork Embroidery has been practiced for many centuries with methods changing as a result of the development of different materials and styles over this time. Today Blackwork remains heavily influenced by Moorish designs and now commonly uses threads in colours other than black. This is an example using geometric blackwork patterning
